Marriott Beach Resort

This Marriott is a year-round golf and beach resort, located in the south of the USA. The hotel has received several Awards and Distinctions, including One of America's Top Twenty Resorts and offers opportunities in Food & Beverage, Rooms Division and the Culinary Field.

Hyatt in Southern California

This Hyatt hotel is located in the metropolitan city of L.A. The hotel is a modern high-rise hotel and has over 500 guestrooms. During your culinary program you will be exposed to various departments: the pastry shop (1 month), specialties restaurant (4 months), City Center cafe (3 months), banquets (4 months), garde manger (3 months), butcher (1 month) and saucier (1 month). You will work in the capacity of a 1st cook, who is responsible for the production of high quality food, the inventory control, storage of the food and helping develop additions to the menu and new menus. The rate of pay will be $ 8.50 per hour. Overtime will be paid at a 150% rate.

Rooms Division at Sheraton

This "Sheraton Hotel" is situated in the heart of a business city, which means many convention guests in this business-oriented hotel. The hotel features more than 350 upscale guest rooms including 12 suites and 80 club level rooms.

Sheraton is now part of Starwood Lodging, one of the biggest hotel groups in the world with over 650 hotels in 70 countries The fact that it concerns a Starwood hotel gives you many opportunities for your future. The Sheraton Hotel will assist you, when desired, with placement in another hotel of their group (i.e. Sheraton or Westin Hotels).

The training program includes an all round Rooms Division exposure. You will work in following departments; Reception and Guest Services (12 months, all duties); Housekeeping (4 months, Exec. Housekeeper duties); Reservations (1 month); Sales and Accounting (2 weeks); Telecommunications (2 weeks). Wage is $ 8,00 per hour, overtime paid at a 150% rate.

5 star deluxe hotel in Chicago

This elegant hotel, dating from 1963 and completely renovated, is situated at Hancock Center on the Magnificent Mile, within walking distance of Union Station and 18 miles from O'Hare International Airport. The hotel offers over 700 guest rooms, including 43 suites and features a restaurant, bar & grill and 21 meeting rooms, with a total of 29.000 square feet.

The 18 month Food & Beverage training program includes exposure to Restaurant/Bar (6 months), Service Express (Room Service) /PBX/Guest Services (6 months) and Banquets (6 months). After a brief introduction, you will work as a supervisor in the above mentioned outlets. You will also be involved in executing special projects. The rate of pay will be $ 10.00 per hour, overtime paid at a 150% rate.
